Within the Labour Relations & HR Services Department, under the limited direction of the Human Resource Business Partner, will be responsible for maintaining, compiling and producing information from the Human Resource Information System (HRMS), including consulting with customers, senior management and Executive, to understand their needs and ensure the end report captures all pertinent information. Also responsible for the development and maintenance of HR reports and analyzing data to identify trends/findings that lead to recommendations while ensuring the integrity of the data. 

 

Responsibilities:

Consult with users at all levels in the organization, including Senior Management and Executive, and provide guidance for the design, development, analysis, and testing of HR reports accessing the HR SAP system while maintaining and considering the sensitivity of the information.

Help design, manage and deliver new reporting and metrics to assess strategy and overall effectiveness of the HR function and HR programs.

Produce, analyze and provide consultation on the interpretation and use of various HR datasets in different applications/programs; including producing ad hoc, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports for various end users, utilizing various tools at the advanced level, such as SAP Query and Ad Hoc Reporting, MS Excel and Microsoft Power BI.

Support the development and definition of reporting standards, including creating and maintaining reporting frameworks, guidelines, policies and tools and maintain a report catalogue for all standard and scheduled reports.

Interpret complex data sets and perform analysis to identify trends/findings that lead to credible and relevant recommendations and communicate findings in a compelling, easily understood manner that can be consumed or shared with audiences across HR and the business.

Will work with other HR Analysts in the HR Division to provide reporting and analytic functions, training others as required.

Provide timely analysis and resolution of requests for the SAP system including creation, changing and deletion of Organizational Management (OM) relationships in the corporate Production system. 

Provide backup support to the OM administration function with the goal of maintaining the integrity of the organizational structure and to ensure a high degree of accuracy.

Participate on project teams, including salary initiatives such as general wage increases (GWI) and merit.

Process data loads into HRMS related to enterprise initiatives (e.g. GWI, re-organizations, etc.).

Review and process all Remedy tickets sent to the Department’s mailbox.

 

Qualifications:

Related four year university degree (preferably in Social Sciences, Statistics or Commerce) from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of one year directly related experience; 

OR

Two year Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of three years directly related experience; 

OR

Grade 12 and a Human Resource Certificate and a Business Analyst certificate plus a minimum of five years directly related experience.

Demonstrated ability to use system reporting functions, including requirement gathering and documentation, report development, report testing, and problem resolution.

Comprehensive knowledge of the administration of user access within the SAP system.

Demonstrated experience in establishing research methods, conducting statistical analysis and analyzing data.

Proven excellent organizational skills, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Capable of managing fluctuating workload, setting priorities and meeting deadlines, with minimum direction.

Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and MS Access databases.

Demonstrated working knowledge of SAP, HRMS, SPSS, and Power BI with the ability to create ad hoc queries or design analytic reports are considered an asset.

Comprehensive knowledge of SAP position relationships in use at Manitoba Hydro and the impacts of assigning each.

Possess a strong general knowledge of all implemented SAP modules as related to OM requirements.
