Tundra is seeking to fill a Warehouse Material Handler position based out of the Virden area. 

 

This position is responsible and accountable for the completion of all the loading, and location of materials at the main warehouse and yard in a timely manner as well as assisting in filling orders for internal customers.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor some specific duties and responsibilities of a Warehouse Material Handler include, but are not limited to:

·       Unload and load all materials arriving and leaving the main warehouse.

·       Locate materials in pre-designated yard area(s).

·       Arrange shipping of materials

·       Operate warehouse forklift for storing of materials inside warehouse.

·       Collect all pertinent paperwork from carriers (BOL, packing slips, waybills, brokerage, etc.).

·       Matching product to packing slips

·       Assist warehouse staff in filling orders.

·       General housekeeping of the yard and grounds (ex. scrap in bins, garbage in bins, grading of yard, snow removal, etc.).

·       Other related duties as required.

 

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • High School Diploma.
  • A valid loader operator certificate.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • 1-2 years previous experience in a warehouse environment required. 
  • 2-3 years previous experience in inventory identification process.
  • Basic knowledge of product lines.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience and asset.
  • Ability to demonstrate safe equipment operator skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Internal customer focused.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Required to satisfactorily complete a comprehensive medical examination conducted by Tundra’s designated physician to assess your ability to perform the duties of position.
  • Provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
  • Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Tundra’s Safety Policy.
