Reporting to the Chair, Math, Science and Communications, RRC Polytech is looking for Math and Science Instructor to teach Math and Science into a variety of apprenticeship, certificate, diploma and degree programs. Math and Science courses build core skills for academic and career success, focusing on competencies required in Trades and Technology industrial sectors. The successful candidate will fulfill the duties of an instructor and may be assigned to one or a combination of locations at the Notre Dame or Exchange District campuses.



- An engineering degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic, civil or red seal endorsed in trades; a post-secondary degree or diploma with specialization in math and science; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered 

- Experience teaching math, science or accounting in a post-secondary setting, or related industry experience

- Knowledge and experience with the application of math and/or science fundamentals in either trades, technology or accounting

- Commitment to student success through active and facilitative approaches to teaching in an online environment

- Experience creating a positive online learning environment with diverse learners

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to create or refine teaching materials in learning management systems and with online platforms, such as MS TEAMS and WebEx 

- Ability to self-reflect on teaching practice, and respond to change based on feedback or evidence-based recommendations

- Demonstrated skills with MS Office Suite

- Strong written communication skills

- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated leadership skills

- Ability to work remotely

- Certificate in adult education or currently enrolled in the program

- Previous experience working in a post-secondary educational institution

- An engineering degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic, civil or red seal endorsed in trades

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends

- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check

Salary: $58,744 - $87,246 per annum*
