Position Location: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

2 Full-Time, Term Positions Available

Anticipated August 2, 2021 up to March 31, 2021

Possibility of an Extension to March 31, 2022

Duties: Reporting to the Chair of Applied Computer Education, the Instructor will deliver technical and/or business curriculum in Applied Computer Education Information Technology programs. Duties will include course preparation, course outlines, lesson plans, assignments, tests, examinations, student records, and provide office hours to students to provide additional student support. The successful candidate will also participate in department and college committees, and evolve curriculum to meet current and ever changing industry needs.

Drawing upon extensive experience, Instructors will be expected to lead dynamic, engaging classroom instruction at Red River College's Robin Campus and/or online instruction from their residence.

Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated passion for teaching adult learners and a commitment to lifelong learning."

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Post Secondary Education in Information Technology or Business; an equivalent combination of education and experience maybe considered

- Experience working in Information Technology operations and/or project environments

- Experience with service management and/or service delivery

- Experience working with customers or clients

- Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving in a information technology or business setting

- Excellent written communication skills

- Strong verbal communication skills

- Experience with various business, information technology, and project documentation

- Experience with Microsoft office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project

- Strong Intercultural skills

- Effective Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

- Understand innovation and continual service improvement

- Excellent presentation skills

- Ability to work remotely

- Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

- Commitment to lifelong learning

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with online presentations or interaction

- Work or volunteer experience in working with students

- Experience with service management and ITIL

- Experience with business process automation

- Experience with business architecture or business impact assessments

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends

- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months

- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Application program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)

Salary: $58,744 - $87,246 per annum*
