REGIONAL PROGRAM MANAGER

 

(Permanent Full Time) 

 

 

Anishinaabe Child & Family Services is seeking one (1) Regional Program Manager on a full-time permanent position to work out of the Head-office, Fairford, MB.

 

 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

The Regional Program Manager will be responsible for managing all the programs in the area of services to child and families in the Agency’s First Nations Communities and Ashern, Area 1.  The Regional Program Manager will be responsible for supervising all the Community Supervisor’s and will assist in the Agency’s Child Protection Unit.  The primary role of the Regional Program Manager is to ensure each community sub-office is providing services to children and families in accordance to Provincial Legislation and Standards.

 

 

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

 

  • Supervise and directs the community Supervisor’s to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Provide expert guidance and interpretation of the Provincial Standards, CFS Authorities Act and The Child & Family Services Act.
  • In coordination of cases, the Regional Program Manager will ensure that services reflect the tradition and culture of each community.
  • Provide individual and on-site supervision to all unit Supervisors on a regular basis.
  • Monitors and tracks movement of cases within the units and ensures case transfer procedures and guidelines are being followed.
  • Attend and assist with the Child Abuse Unit in monthly meetings.
  • Review monthly reports on CFSIS regarding children in care files to ensure file information is captured and updated; address issues and concerns regarding data information with appropriate Supervisor.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Must possess a Bachelor of Social Work Degree and a minimum of five (5) years Child Welfare experience with at least three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player, conflict mediation, service oriented and respectful to others.
  • Reliable and able to prioritize work.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Knowledge of First Nations traditions, values and beliefs.
  • Ability to speak Ojibway would be an asset.
  • Applicants must provide updated copy of clear Child Abuse Registry and Police Records Check.
