POSITION SUMMARY:

Dakota Ojibway First Nations Housing Authority Incorporated is seeking an individual that will perform the functions of a Caretaker. 

 

DUTIES/ TASKS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Liaise with the Maintenance, Tenant Liaison Officer, Tenants, Suppliers and Contractors
  • Monitor the safety of premises to ensure quiet enjoyment by residents
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with tenants
  • Supervision of happenings on premises with difficulties being referred to the office
  • Supervision of laundry room facilities
  • Minor maintenance issues
  • Distribution of notices to tenants
  • Monitor condition of grounds on daily basis
  • Water lawn, trees and planting areas, cut grass, weed planting beds etc.
  • Regular sweeping and hosing down of roadways, parking lots and paths
  • Seasonal Maintenance
  • Snow clearing of sidewalks, front entrance and parking lot
  • Perform daily duties as identified in the job description
  • Previous experience in caretaking would be an asset

 

SALARY/BENEFITS:        

  • Mandatory to live on site, 2 Bedroom Suite Provided on site
  • Salary dependant on funding allocations
