POSITION:                   Finance Assistant

LOCATION:                  FPDI Sub Office – Winnipeg, Manitoba

CLOSING DATE:          January 24, 2019

 

FPDI is looking for a full-time Finance Assistant to join our team. The Finance Assistant reports directly to the Finance Director and is responsible to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

§  Prepare bank reconciliations

§  Process day to day accounting transactions

§  Reconciliation of business credit cards and other transactions

§  Tracking of special projects expenditures

§  Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and other ad hoc projects

§  Perform filing and general administrative tasks

§  Assist with quarterly and annual reporting

§  Assist with the payroll preparation and recording

§  Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

§  Minimum of two years’ experience in a financial environment

§  Experience working with QuickBooks

§  General Accounting or Bookkeeping Certificate

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

§  Excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication

§  Ability to work well with others and maintain confidentiality

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

§  Work a standard work week 8:30 to 4:30, but may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines

§  Ability to travel as required
