Position Location: Stevenson Campus/Southport, MB (90km outside of Winnipeg, MB)

Duties: Reporting to the Chair of Stevenson Aviation and Aerospace, the successful candidate will be a member of the Instructional team responsible for the delivery of our nationally approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program and other related training. The incumbent is responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of classroom and shop training for RRC Polytech Aviation programs and courses. Other duties include, but not limited to: providing training and college representation off campus as well as participation at symposiums and trade shows. Instructors in this role are also responsible for the regular entry of student grades and maintenance of student records.


- Experience in various types of Aircraft Piston and Turbine engines

- M1 and/or M2 category license on a variety of aircraft

- Experience with a variety of Rotary Wing and/or Fixed Wing aircraft and turbine engines, including troubleshooting and repair

- Significant technical and supervisory experience of licensed AMEs in a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization

- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Effective presentation and leadership skills

- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment

- Experience instructing adults

- Experience in troubleshooting/repair of aircraft electrical and avionics systems

- NDT experience and CGSB certification

- Additional AME license ratings ("E" and/or "S" rating)


- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends

- This position may be required to work overtime

- This position may be required to travel

- This position is subject to audiometric assessments 

- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)

Salary: $58,744 - $87,246 per annum*

*The successful candidate with a Master’s or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,725 or $5,450 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis
