Academic Integrity Specialist (Term)

Position Location: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

Full-Time, Term Position Available

Anticipated August 22, 2022 up to March 31, 2023

Duties: Red River College Polytechnic’s Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE) works to advance teaching and learning excellence in our academic programs’ delivery of applied education. The CLPE is looking for an Academic Integrity Specialist to join its Academic Quality and RPL team. This competition will also form an eligibility list for future openings.

Reporting to the Manager, Academic Quality and RPL, the Academic Integrity Specialist works collaboratively with a team of professionals in CLPE and with academic faculty, coordinators and Chairs to support a culture of academic integrity at RRC Polytech. The Academic Integrity Specialist guides RRC Polytech’s pro-active approach to implementing the values of honesty, trust, respect, responsibility, fairness and courage in learning, teaching and research.  The Academic Integrity Specialist is knowledgeable of current and emerging issues in academic integrity and provides professional development, consultation and support to faculty and staff to ensure that academic integrity is upheld at RRC Polytech. The Academic Integrity Specialist is also responsible for chairing the Academic Integrity Advisory Committee, assisting with interpretation and application of RRC Polytech’s Academic Integrity Policy and Procedures and coordinating the development and promotion of Academic Integrity resources."


- Bachelor’s degree in adult education, management or administration from a recognized post-secondary institution. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

- Knowledgeable of research and best practice in academic integrity

- Experience applying academic integrity values in an academic environment

- Experience implementing academic integrity processes to maintain fair and consistent outcomes that support student success

- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills

- Experience assessing student learning at the post-secondary level

- Experience using a collaborative approach to problem solving in complex and sensitive situations

- Exceptional interpersonal skills

- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Excellent written communication skills

- Ability to work in a team and individually with limited supervision

- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a cross-cultural environment with people from diverse backgrounds

- Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

- Commitment to lifelong learning


- Experience developing and/or implementing academic integrity educational resources or supports

- Experience implementing proactive approaches to build a culture of academic integrity

- Experience resolving academic integrity breaches

- Completion of either a Certificate in Adult Education (CAE) or a Teaching for Learning (TFL) certificate


- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends

Salary: $52,465 - $71,851 per annum
