JOB OPPORTUNITY 

POSITION:   On-Call/After Hours Worker – Contracted Position

OFFICE:        The Pas, Manitoba

SUMMARY:   Under the general direction of the DIA/INTAKE Service Manager, the On-Call/After Hours Workers will provide On-Call/After Hours services for Cree Nation Child & Family Caring Agency. On-call/After hours services are defined as responding to all crisis situations. These requests arise outside of the regular office hours. Services are limited to assessment of risk and crisis stabilization, safe guarding children/families until the next working day.

DUTIES:

·       Responding & investigating all incoming calls

·       To ensure safety of child (ren) at all times

·       To document and record all information

             ·        To liaison with all resources in the community as required by child/family’s immediate needs

·       To apprehend/ensure place of safety of child (ren)

·       Travel will be required and valid Manitoba Driver's license

·       Provide daily on-call reports

 QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Knowledge of computer programs

·       Ability to work independently.

·       Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills

·       Must clear Child Abuse Registry, Criminal Records and Prior CFS Checks

·       Ability to speak one of the Cree Dialects is an asset
