Part-Time, Term Position Available
Teaching hours are Wednesday 9am-4pm & Thursday 9am-12pm
Total hours per week is 18 hours

Duties: Reporting to the Chair of Creative Arts, a part-time, term instructor is needed to teach the Game Development Art program. Drawing upon extensive experience, Instructors will be expected to lead dynamic, engaging blended instruction to students using LEARN and Microsoft Teams, among others. Exceptional technical expertise paired with strong communication skills are required to inspire students. Ideal candidates will have expertise in 3D modeling, procedural content creation and experience with Unreal Engine and have a demonstrated passion for teaching adult learners and a commitment to lifelong learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in Digital Media Design or directly related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Mastery of industry standard 3D software; experience with Houdini, Maya and Unreal Engine ideal.
- Extensive and relevant professional experience in industry
- Exceptional oral communication skills
- Ability to transfer existing skills to new platforms and applications
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations
- Strong written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to work remotely and on campus in Winnipeg

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with post-secondary students
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary: $31.06 - $46.13 hourly*
*The successful candidate with a Master’s or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,725 or $5,450 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis
